Raleigh ranks No. 3 in the U.S. for overall well-being

Raleigh ranks No. 3 on the " 2014 Community Well-Being Rankings" released this week by Gallup-Healthways.

The report evaluates the 100 largest cities in the U.S. in five areas: Purpose, social, financial, community and physical. Raleigh ranks particularly high in the social and community measures.

The data was gathered through 176,702 interviews with U.S. adults across all 50 states.

North Carolina has two cities in the top 10: WInston-Salem ranks 10th.
